Sauvage World are DJs and music makers from Italy now based in Berlin. You can often find them behind the decks of the infamous Wrong Era party - curated by the Italo-German label Slow Motion.
How long have you been DJing for and how would you describe your sound?
We've been DJing for 15 years at least (together since 5). Our style is a mixture of electronic sounds like early-house, italo, wave, balearic and everything in between.
How did growing up in your country influence your music?
Growing up in the 80s, we fell in love with various sounds of the period, like synth-pop, new-wave and italo-disco. Born and raised in Italy, we also got a first hand taste of the early nineties Italian house. Another source of inspiration was the "Cosmic" sound, which we experienced thanks to the tapes recorded by Daniele Baldelli. Who or what are you inspired by?
DIY style and underground cultures.
Is there something you try to convey in each mix?
We like to play tracks from different styles, times and spaces, and blend them together into eclectic sonic combinations.
